My Magazine will be for white males and females ages 10-13 years old. The target audience will be the reformers. I will be targeted to people who are interested in marine animals like dolphins, different types of fish or penguins. This magazine is for people who have are enthusiastic and hold a significant importance towards learning about the several marine animals found around the world. Additionally, my magazine will target audiences that are sincerely concerned about people who want to learn more about the welfare of dolphins and how they are being endangered because of humans. My magazine will also include a free ticket to an animal sanctuary which appeals to the target audience who find zoos inhumane. The colour of my cover will be green; this can represent growth, safety and environment. This can relate to how my magazine is trying to spread awareness to not let dolphins suffer at the hands of humans. The harsh colours of the dolphin can represent how they are becoming endangered and could one day be potentially extinct.
In my double page spread there is an image of a white bulky guy, in his late 30s, with a pot belly who is dressed up in a zookeeper’s uniform. It is a low angle shot where the man is facing down so the man looks like he is looking down on everyone and has authority over the animals. From his mean looking demeanour you can infer that he doesn’t treat the animals the right way and mishandles them. As well as this his bulky figure can show how he easily overpowers them. I picked Leonardo DiCaprio as the person to interview due to his wide range of people from different age groups knowing him. In addition his participation in several classics has meant he has become a very influential person in society. For my background i chose a light blue with a dark blue polka dot pattern. This can replicate the bubbles in water, which can relate to my theme of dolphins since they live in the ocean.
